Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Lincoln Castle has been newly fortified with a turnstile Access Control System from AdvaNova.
Part of a 5 year restoration project called Lincoln Castle Revealed, it is now possible to walk the circumference of the wall, but only after being authenticated by Sentry Access Control software. Access is achieved by presentation of a barcoded paper ticket or e-ticket through an externally/outdoor rated turnstile and pass gate barrier line.
The wall walk provides spectacular views across the beautiful city and surrounding countryside, but none finer than the view down to the gleaming new turnstiles.
