The creation of the AdvaNova barcode was driven by the need to create a solution that would meet everyday needs, with the very first barcodes printed on dot matrix printers. The AdvaNova barcode has a very reliable read rate, and even in the early days when the labels were printed on poor-quality dot-matrix printers, the chance of misreading was virtually zero.
