After two years as a virtual event, the CILIP Conference and Expo finally took place face-to-face in Liverpool on 7th and 8th July 2022. The team at AdvaNova were keen to attend so that we could share our vision and showcase our solutions under our new name to existing and future clients.

The Expo gave us the chance to meet with CILIP members and the wider information professional community to connect and communicate our ideas and products. It also enabled us to support visitors in understanding who AdvaNova is, so they could explore our solutions and learn how we help our customers with automatic identification and electronics consultancy services.

Initially, our objectives in attending the Expo were to raise brand awareness following our recent rebrand, create new contacts and establish quality leads. This was successful as we spoke to members of the information profession who made enquiries with us and wanted to know who we are at AdvaNova after the rebrand

It was great to meet with already established customers, who made up around 25% of our visitors at the Expo. This meant that up to 75% of enquirers were completely new to what we do at AdvaNova, so it was really beneficial for us to connect with people unfamiliar with the brand and help them get to know us better.

In fact, one of our products that we took to the Expo, our self-service kiosk, was a major talking point, enabling us to explain our solutions to potential customers in greater depth. 

It was a pretty momentous feeling for us, after the last few years, to set up the AdvaNova stand at the Expo and reveal our new brand to the information community

The team enjoyed exploring the Expo as well as talking to clients and taking in other exhibitors stands and offerings. A key piece of feedback from the team who attended the Expo was that AdvaNova’s stand was one of the most eye-catching, enabling us to display our company at its best.

Revealingly, the most frequently asked question we had was, “What is AdvaNova?”. This confirmed to us that people may not necessarily be aware of our products and, as such, it’s important for us to talk to an ever wider selection of potential clients so that we can create beneficial connections.

A key takeaway from the Expo was that the majority of visitors to the stand were not customers and were unaware of who we are, particularly with our new name. This is proof that the Expo was valuable in terms of building brand awareness, something we aim to continue for greater customer identification with us and our solutions
