‘A collaborative approach’: SOAS University of London

When new turnstiles were being installed, AdvaNova’s fully compatible access control solution helped to overcome potential service changes and disruption for colleagues, students and visitors.
Background

A member institution of the University of London, SOAS is home to a library containing 1.3 million volumes. AdvaNova, who has worked with SOAS previously, was commissioned to upgrade the Sentry access control system in August 2024.

The Challenge

The university had previously worked with AdvaNova on its library access control systems. Having had tripod turnstiles with a separate passgate for trolleys and wheelchairs for some years, SOAS was refreshing its turnstiles but wanted to ensure access control processes remained unchanged from a user perspective.

“AdvaNova delivered exactly what we needed without any surprises. If we ever had an issue, they were on hand quickly to answer questions and help us come up with the best solutions.”
