AdvaNova partnered with Mid Devon District Council to install access control gates at two leisure centres in Crediton and Tiverton.
Active Mid Devon runs leisure centres across key areas in South West England, including Active Tiverton, Active Crediton, and Active Cullompton. Funded by Mid Devon District Council, the centres offer a range of health and wellbeing facilities. These include fitness studios, exercise classes, swimming pools and tennis courts.
In 2025, Mid Devon District Council began a four-part digital transformation project. One of its goals was to install access control gates at its local leisure centres. These would protect revenue and log essential customer data.
Prior to the project, Active Mid Devon’s Tiverton and Crediton leisure centres had no access control systems in place. This would often lead to queues at reception. Likewise, management teams lacked essential information on class booking numbers and overall attendance.
